Learn to play and sing your favorite songs!
If you read my bio you noticed I didn't always play guitar I was a lead singer and harmonica player. It was a natural progression for me to pick up the guitar since my father was a player and I was around guitar players all the time. As a singer I had to play something besides harp so I taught myself guitar.
I found it to be fairly simple except for the many hours of practice I had to do. That goes without saying but I'll say it anyway PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! I used self help books that you see in the music stores. The picture above was taken within 3 - 4 years after I began teaching myself. Not everyone is motivated to push ourselves to practice like we need to to get our desired results. Some need a teacher to hold themselves accountable. My vocal professor used to say "You are wasting my time and your money when you don't do the homework" Truer words have not been spoken by any teacher.
I'm not against the traditional method of teaching music theory and reading music. Especially if your training to be a classic musician. I just believe most people just want to play their favorite songs and have fun!
I will teach you or your child the basic guitar chords and strum patterns that will have you playing your favorite songs before you know it. I will help you find a instrument and provide you with all the instructions and hands on training for you to take care of your instruments. Including proper cleaning and storage changing strings ect.ect.
I'm not cheap But if you want to play like me you would have to learn from me. I have other guitarist who ask me how to do what I do. I tell them it's more caught than taught which means time with the master and that doesn't come cheap. LOL!
